Or maybe you’ve got a secret recipe from your mom, dad, aunts, uncles, cousins, or grandparents for the best shrimp gumbo this side of the Mississippi River (or the other for that matter) that you’ve been holding onto for family and friends only under lock & key in the family cookbook?

If you’re any of the above, then you’re already the perfect entrant for Wild American Shrimp’s 2020 “Don’t Be Shellfish With Your Shrimp Recipes!” Contest!

Here’s how it all works: from now until March 6, Wild American Shrimp is looking for YOUR best shrimp recipes featuring wild-caught, American shrimp! Visit our Submit a Recipe page to submit your own recipes (including photos, video, and even a picture of yourself) for a chance to be one of 5 featured winners in a special article on Wild American Shrimp’s website and a highlighted post on our social media: our Facebook page alone has over 234,000 followers!

Even if you don’t win, worry not! Anyone who submits a recipe has a chance to be featured on our Recipes page!

Wild American Shrimp’s “Don’t Be Shellfish With Your Shrimp Recipes!” Contest Rules

PROMOTION PERIOD: Promotion begins 2/3/2020 and ends 3/6/2020, when all entries must be received.

HOW TO ENTER: Visit americanshrimp.com/submit-recipe/ during the Promotion Period and follow the instructions to complete and submit the entry form. Entrants represent and warrant that their Submission is their original work, it has not been copied from others, and it does not violate the rights of any other person or entity. Any mention or use of shrimp in your recipe should, of course, be “Wild American Shrimp!”

Submission of recipe entails permission for Wild American Shrimp and the American Shrimp Processors Association to share said recipe on both its website and social media channels with credit to the original creator. Submission must include a photo of your recipe. You can upload a video in addition to the required photo, too. A photo of yourself and any stories behind your recipe are encouraged!

WINNER SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION: All entries will be judged on or around 3/6/2019 by a panel comprised of American Shrimp Processors Association representatives. The judges will score entries based on the following criteria: quality (33%), originality (33%), and alignment with brand values (34%). The 5 entries with highest overall score will be declared the winners.  Winners will be announced via social media. Even if you don’t win, there’s a chance we’d still love to share your recipe with full credit to you!

PRIZE DESCRIPTION: The 5 winners of the competition will be featured in an article on Wild American Shrimp’s website and social media, complete with photo and video (provided by the winner), where they will be recognized as the winners of the “Don’t Be Shellfish With Your Shrimp Recipes!” contest!
